A man who was documenting a shark with his camera accidentally captured a “point of view” that few people will have and survive to tell the story.
The influencer Nicolas Zimmermann, better known as Zimy Da Kid, captured the incredible moment with his 360-degree camera while exploring the ocean in Fuvahmulah, south of the Maldives, in April 2022.
He was filming an underwater documentary when a tiger shark approached him. Although these sharks are known to attack humans, the creature did not target the influencer as a snack.
Instead, the shark attacked his camera and swallowed it within seconds. Fortunately, the device did not break and continued filming, capturing an unprecedented record of what it would feel like to be eaten by a shark.
Quickly, the creature realized the camera wasn’t very tasty and spat it back into the sea a few seconds later. Still, the footage amazed internet users.
